Good work requires care, dedication, and sometimes patience. At Hemby, we work without time pressure and stress to provide the highest quality of care to our clients.
As a helper, your total compensation is between £15–£25 per hour, including holiday pay, travel allowance, experience bonuses, and extra for weekends/bank holidays.
There are no shift hours for this part-time job. You set your working hours together with your clients and our team.
You will help those in need of care in your direct vicinity.
Manage your calendar, all necessary notes, and records directly in our Hemby app. Simple and paperless.
With conscientious work and good client reviews, you have the opportunity to advance to a Pro or even Guru-helper, and earn more as a result.

Philip is a health and care assistant who helps the elderly. For example, he makes them breakfast, reads the newspaper to them, and plays cards with them.

Our helpers assist the elderly with daily activities and gradually build long-term relationships with them and their families.
The role of a helper can vary depending on the type of help provided.
Home Help: Cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, changing bed linen, dishwashing, errands, groceries, meal preparation and help with digital devices
Companionship Care: Walks, outings and help with appointments
Respite Care: Sitting in for family caregiver
In all cases, every task and the associated activities are discussed with you in advance; you decide which senior you would like to assist.
You should enjoy working with the elderly and be able to work independently. Additionally you should be able to:

You will be assigned a specific senior who you will care at Hemby. This makes you a part of their everyday life – and hopefully vice versa! Your working hours will be coordinated with the customers' preferences; at Hemby, there is no shift work!
You can easily track your hours in the Hemby app, and your monthly salary will be calculated based on this. You won't waste time with paperwork.

Simply fill out the application form. What's important is that you complete the form as thoroughly as possible, so we can get a good understanding of you. Applying does not bind you to anything!
If your profile is a good fit, we'll add you to our waiting list. When an elderly person in your area need help, we'll reach out to arrange an meeting.
During the meeting we go through the job and see if the job is right for you. After this we'll order a statutory DBS check, and once that is cleared we're ready to offer you the work.
